1st Light Energy | Best Solar Companies in Bakersfield, California

Terrible service. My Solar system has been down since September. Seems like they’re there so called smart online service tracker never detects when my system stops working. The several times my system has had issues is because I notice the light on my inverter are off and I check out my production on the app and find out my system has been off for weeks. Like always I call and let them know and they create a case. This time I called and they seems like they would take care of it soon. They said I would get a call in a few days to schedule a service appointment I never got a call so I called again. Another five days go by and I call again then another five days go by and still no return call. I got several return numbers and I called around. Come to find out sunrun is not taking any cases from 1st light energy. And the cases are getting transferred to another solar company. I called another sun run tech and they promised a call back the same day of course that never happened so I called again and they said they escalated my case so I would be helped sooner, once again they said they would call me again within a couple days. A few days later the other service company said the next available appointment is till January. Already a quarter of the year paying for Solar I don’t get, my true up bill is now estimated at $750 and they say next available appointment till January. Last time my system broke down parts had to be ordered and they were a month out. I’ve had Solar for 5 years and there hasn’t been a single year without issues.

Connor Bingham was the best! Any time i had more questions he would personally pay me a visit to answer them. Everyone i dealt with from 1st Light energy was helpful and courteous. my only problem was when i referred my mother, the ball was dropped. I never received the $500 referral payout and the solar panels have been sitting on her house for months not operational. Except for that issue i would have definitely given them 5 stars.
