East Point Energy has completed the Citrus Flatts energy center and storage project in Harlingen, Texas, a 100 MW / 200 MWh facility located less than 30 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border. The project will provide up to two hours of peak power to support the electrical grid and aims to generate tax revenue for local services.
The company stated that the facility will bolster the grid and help keep energy costs affordable for families and businesses in the region. East Point Energy also noted that the project will provide millions in tax revenue and recently donated $175,000 for improvements to the Harlingen Soccer Complex.
