Heliene launches fully American-made residential module

Heliene’s new 108HC All-Black panel aims to strengthen domestic supply chains amid Section 232 tariffs.

Heliene Inc. has launched its new Heliene 108HC All-Black module for the residential rooftop solar market, the company announced Sept. 29. The Mountain Iron, Minnesota-based manufacturer states the module utilizes U.S.-made polysilicon, ingots, wafers, and solar cells, with final assembly taking place entirely on U.S. soil.

The launch comes as the company highlights the product as a step toward reshoring solar manufacturing. Heliene officials say the module is designed to reduce exposure to tariffs, including those imposed by the second Trump administration’s Section 232 proclamation on polysilicon imports.

Heliene has paired the module’s launch with a signed purchase agreement with Sunrun, the largest provider of residential solar and storage systems in the U.S. David Reasenberg, Heliene’s chief commercial officer, said the agreement allows the company to invest in the domestic supply chain.

Heleine currently operates two manufacturing facilities in the U.S. with a combined annual module output capacity of approximately 1.3 GW.
