Jupiter Power has secured $1.4 billion in project financing across four transactions to support ten utility-scale battery energy storage system projects totaling 1,500 MW / 3,600 MWh across Texas and Michigan. The financing, which closed between April and July 2026, includes senior secured project debt, tax equity bridge loans, and an investment-grade U.S. private placement. The deal package brings the developer’s total financing raised since inception to more than $3 billion.
The transactions were structured across four separate portfolios. In July 2026, Jupiter Power closed a $536 million senior secured facility with HSBC Bank USA and SMBC to fund the construction of three Texas projects, including Tidwell Prairie II, Bee Branch, and Barton Branch. In June 2026, the company closed a $281 million private placement rated BBB- by KBRA, collateralized by three operational projects comprising Tidwell Prairie I and St. Gall II in Texas, and Tibbits in Michigan. The company also secured a $294 million package from ING Capital and Societe Generale in May 2026 to construct the Grand Basin and Voyager I projects in Michigan, and a $258 million senior facility in April 2026 for the Callisto II and Pamela Heights I projects in Harris County, Texas.
Jesse Campbell, chief financial officer of Jupiter Power, stated that the transactions reflect the depth and diversity of the company’s capital markets relationships and execution capabilities as it builds out its energy storage platform. The expansion comes as the Texas energy storage market experiences rapid buildout, with installed battery capacity in the ERCOT market reaching nearly 15 GW in early 2026, up from roughly 7.8 GW a year prior.
